Did a double take on this when I came across this car for this price.

Motor alone is worth the money and a Helluva good deal for someone...Now if I could just remember which boot I stuck that extra 55$K in I had lying around.

Can any 68 FB Fish be used in SS/AA? I didn't see anywhere where it said it was an original.

Where does a person get lightweight glass?

it not an original factory car, Not sure the last time he ran this Car. he had bad crash in this car back in 06. For the price he is asking it might have a Hemi in it, But I would bet it not a current legal Super Stock engine. They are 50k plus , would still be a nice toy! Wish I had the money

Funny that is says 55K on the top of the add and 75K at the bottom.

Obviously it is not a factory car or it would be worth a lot more than $55-75,000 But a nice looking car anyway!
Now let's see if I sell my car and truck, and get a mortgage on my house, and sell the wife's car I could afford the car but not the tow home with it ... better pass !

Did a little calculating...if 24 of us put up $2291.00 each we would get to enjoy the car for a month each every two years...Not so bad when you look at it that way....Ha Ha Ha !

Cars do not have to be original hemi cars to race.

The lightweight Corning glass is probably unobtainium but I believe brand new repro windshields are thinner than the originals thus saving a few pounds. Maybe all repro glass is thinner. Dunno. Usually less material=less cost to manufacture.

That would make a cool street car to cruise in for ice cream.

Actually, it's not a bad price at all as I'd bet most guys here would sell their non-original Hemi cars for around that & I'd bet most, including mine aren't nearly as sophisticated as that one. My only concern would be the overall condition of the chassis & engine. You could put a ton of money into that car getting it "right" after putting down 55k & THAT could hurt in a BIG way...........

when I was in the glass industry I noticed that the PPG windshields were normal 3mm/3mm laminated glass, while the imported ones (Benson was the brand, from China I believe) felt like 2mm/2mm or maybe a 2mm & a 3mm layer.

I do believe that that the side glass is available. I know when the Sox Cuda was damaged at the Russo/Steele auction the owner was able to get the side glass. Maybe someone like Kramer Automotive ?

So you give55k for a car and your instantly concerned date codes and can't wait to start spending $ on a clone. From what I've seen as should just save our $.These cars should get cheaper, heaven knows this next generation pretty much#2,isn't interested in 2drs let alone smelly old loud hemi cars. And get off my yard!

When I was first starting my 68 barracuda resto mod, Jim Hale had a set of lite weight glass in the crate that he offered me , don`t remember the price tho -------

It is a good deal, you cant build a car that quality for under 75k those guys pay $20k +for body/paint. Now if it runs under index or so it would be selling for $150k for sure. Every body can buy the parts it is what happens after that, cost to find and keep it fast and to be competive. I see them real fast origional & under AA index for close to $200 k but they are sold word of mouth between racers in those classes. Real competive!

This whole thing sounds like B.S. to me , $60,00 for a 68 hemi barracuda ?

A lot of these cars have 7-8 grand in the front body panels. hood and 2 fenders.
4 year old ad for a roller
