I have four automatics (904) from slant six cars. 1968, 69, 72,and 75

Although 2 are known good runners, I am forced to part out and get rid of them due to lack of storage space.

I know I should save the valve bodies and speedo gears and housings......what else should I take off them before sending them off???

Why not break them down, save the internal hard parts and dump the cases? You should be able to get each of them (or the best 1 or 2 ) into smaller boxes. I would bag the parts so they don't rust...

Any good internal parts can be resalable. Look for 4 disc clutch packs and steel planetary gear sets. Not sure if they used them in /6 trans. but since your tearing them down anyway you might as well look. I recently searched for nearly 2 months for a good front pump that didn't cost a fortune.

Save the speedo gears, they come in handy when you swap rears or put on larger tires.

Keep the planetaries and output shafts together as sets. There are 2 different types of spline interfaces, with the same spline count. If I wanted to buy your planetaries I would pass if the shaft was not included.

i dont know much about transmissions or the proper storage of them. But wouldn't keeping piles of parts from 4 transmissions take almost as much space as just draining them and ( if possible)standing them on their end in the corner someplace. maybe part out two of them and put the other two known good ones aside
