Hello I'm looking for some advice on my 1953 331 hemi I want to run a turbo on it instead of a
BDS 6-71 blower set up. I'm don't really know what brand of turbo I should run or size , but I'm want to run in the 10'a in a 1/4 . Any info will be much appreciated. Keep in mind everything is stock.

that car weighs 4,500 lbs. it will take 1,000. hp to go 10s. and all most full tilt race engine. the trans will have to go. and maybe the suspension will not hold up.

I blame Discovery Channel, that's who I blame...
I'll give you some advice, when asking questions on a Forum, try and make sure they are not ridiculous.

In order to run 10's in the 1/4, I recommend a total rebuild and pockets with at least 12K for the engine rebuild. Then we will go onto the tranny and rear. Then The vehicle itself. Total for the project minus body work and interior could very well reach 17K without batting an eye.

Being a very old HEMI, the big up front cost will be new pistons. This will run you approx. $1000 if not more because of the engine/head design. Unless you can find them on the shelf (LOL) or in some bodies garage (LMAO!)

The next biggest problem is the 331 cubes size. Stroking the engine is the best bet. It should only be approx another 3-3.5 K to do so but it will make it a lot easier and less stressful for the engine. This certainly the way to go IMO.

Without barring and eye, the custom cam should be a roller.

Thanks for all the advice from everyone except the douche named Bakerlite
Not everyone is a expert sorry if I offended you with my lack of knowledge I was asking for advice not nasty criticism like I stated I am new to the whole old school hemi and new school hemi motors .

I think it would be over the top to build up that 331 with 8 stack injection and keep it in the newyorker. I would be a great one off machine.

Check out the products available at HotHeads. There are also some industrial exhaust manifolds that exit at both ends rather than bottom dump and are quite handy for things like turbos. You may have seen these manifolds on the air raid siren pics.
