Edelbrock 5/16 inlet options

I think Edelbrock uses 6AN and others use 3/8 NPT. The manufacturer should list the fitting type so you can find a matching barb.

Either Jegs or Summit sell a 5/16" barb for the 3/8 NPT, but it is one of those multiple barbed fittings that are usually used for rubber tube and I don't know if those are good for hose or not. What I did was get one of the fuel filters (Spectre, maybe? I bought it at autozone) that has multisize inlet/outlet options and put a 5/16" barb on the inlet and 3/8" on the outlet. I had to rig my hard line from the pump because the line I bought didn't fit with the aftermarket air conditioner compressor.

One thing I learned when I put the elbow line in (I used a Mr. Gasket, but wouldn't recommend it due to the thread quality not being good) was that it stuck out further than I thought and, again, there were some issues getting it to fit because of the air conditioner compressor. Everything worked, but the fuel filter is at a strange angle and in their kind of tight. If you don't have a compressor, you should have plenty of room.

The obvious thing I realized later was that the elbow has to be removed before you take the top of the carburetor off. I was switching the jets and took a few seconds to figure out why the top wasn't coming off after I removed those top screws.
