At some point this car was converted to electronic ignition, but still has the old charging system which I'd probably upgrade, I'd have to find the "how to thread". I think the change is to a single wire gm style alternator.
GM ? Well whatever you like. Just know that any and all electronic ignition systems require a minimum of 12 volt supply. Some will function with lower supply ( very poorly ) and I'll assume yours did. You're on the right path now though. Cheers
