Getting ready to put my 1970 dart brake lines back in. I have front Kelsey-Hayes disc and drum rear. The problem is that the previous owner took out from the master cylinder (not power brakes) back to lines in the rear. All I can find is a proportioning valve , but no metering valve. I looked online and they show a combination Pro-Meter valve, but mine does not have the same bracket on the proportioning valve. Does anyone have pictures showing the proportioning valve bolted to the frame and the location of the metering valve? I've spent many hours looking , but the pictures I have found are not clear.
Thanks.:???:

Here is the valve that I recently purchased. http://tinyurl.com/n9pegz5 ..
I am fighting with the new brake lines that I am putting in. The worst is the line that goes between the valve to the right front rotor. On someones recommendation from FABO I ordered new lines from INLINE TUBE in
SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI 4831.

So far I am happy with them. good prices and they bend them themselves. Took almost a week to get them.

The valve you purchased looks just like the only one that I could find, but I think I am missing a metering valve that reduces the fluid pressure to the rear which is needed on a disc brake front car. The pictures below show a combo proportioning and metering valve. I think I also need the metering valve and you would too if you have disc brakes in the front.

I still would like to have someone with an original disc brake front car to snap some pictures so I can see how it was setup originally and bolted in.

I talked to a Tech Rep at inlinetube and he said that we only need the distribution block like the one you purchased, nothing else.
Moving on.

There is a smaller device attached to the rear axle. it splits the main line, from the proportioning valve, to go to the rear wheels.
I have the car on stilts and no tires on it. I will take pictures, but am unsure what you want pictures of, the rotor brakes or the brake lines

You need to download some of the service manuals from 67--73 and look through them. The plumbing, proportioning, and metering are all covered.

What do you want to see on the front discs? The way the brake line is set in or the disc and pads setup?

Here's a picture of my 1970 Duster 340 proportioning valve and lines. My car is an original manual disc brake car.

That is the picture I was looking for showing how it was attached to the frame.
Thanks Much.

Hey all I'm having a similar problem. I have a 1970 Dart factory drums all around. I put the scarebird disc conversion up front. The brakes are sqeeshie. I changed the master cylinder to disc drum. I'm assuming I need a disc drum proportioning valve. Does anybody know of a brand that will use the existing brake lines?

I think the one that Pawned listed above is what you need distribution block which will meter the back drum from the front disc since it has 2 inputs from the master cylinder, one for the from & one for the back.

Thanks sgaugian. If this works what pawned stated this is only $69 vs inline tubes quote at p/n blk 250 at $89.

Like I posted above:

Even from the pictures above it all looks good. Good Luck
