2009+ 5.7 Hemi Eagle

Has anyone spoken with EFI Source very recently? I noticed their Ebay listing has changed, and now states...

" ***Systems are available for 5.7L, 6.1L and 6.4L engines with VVT and Active Intake. Please message us upon ordering and specify which motor you have so we can provide you with the proper harness and start up tune.*** ''

Just wondering if anyone has confirmed that they have the VVT worked out yet. I am picking up an '09 5.7 tomorrow.
 
We've been waiting and I haven't checked with them in a while. But I'll look into it and post what I find here. Please do the same if you learn of any confirmation.

After a quick google search I did not find anything interesting or new about it.

I just emailed them asking about this. I suggest you do the same and or call them.

All I got from them was this:

"Looks like we are a couple weeks out till we release the Gen3 Hemi VVT option.

It's better than nothing but I did not get any answers to my other questions. Which is cool. Ill ask again in a few weeks. Patience.
 
I spoke with Mike (at EFI Source) today. He said they are scheduled to take their hemi to the dyno next week, and that once they get that done they will have the base tune they can send out with the VVT plug and plays. He also said the active intake part is done- activates at 4800 rpm like stock programming. So hopefully the VVT tuning goes well, and we have a new option for these motors in a couple weeks.

They got bumped from the dyno. I guess its wait, and wait, and wait... He says they will update their facebook page as soon as anything changes.

This sucks- I am trying to get the Warlock done for our big Mopar show on the 30, 31st. I might have to look at other options.
 
Yup. My initial excitement has faded. This is just the same old crap manufacturers pull with new products. I would be surprised if it is made available in less than 6 months.
 
I agree. Or so it seems anyway. Yet I want to believe they will get it together and provide a quality product at the end of it. I just want it to work. And work well. I have time. But not everybody does and the options are limited currently.

I need to contact Holley and see where they are with the vvt on their HP and Dominator systems.
 
Well if been quite a while since I have been on here. Well we had our first pull with the twin hemi in tractor. Well just figured I would let everyone know it made two hard full pull passes and ran like a champ. To refresh everyone memory these are stock 2010 5.7 truck hemi I installed dele rock dual quads and custom made a tone ring to run hemi6 controller. I have done nothing with the vvt
That's my update so far they do work without any special mods just need custom tone ring
 
That's great to hear. I had been wondering about you lately. Glad it's working out for you.

What kind of rpm are you turning?
