Ye' numbahaw Whon job is to get yourself a service manual. That is a MUST. AND you can get them FREE. There is no 74 available "free" but there is a 73, which is very very close

From your description, it "might be likely" that worn or even damaged /broken front end parts are the cause of this. Disc brakes (duh) are VERY reliable, BUT there are some things, and after reading through the "manual" you can check some of it yourself
If the brake system is old, has not been rebuilt, etc, one or both calipers might be gummed up, rusted, STICKING
If the rotors are excessively worn, especially unevenly worn due to things like muddy roads, ....
Ditto on the pads.
Could be a hose problem
For all we know, someone hit something and damaged the front end.
