Hello out there. I have a few other Mopars, but in July 2014 I bought a 1964 Dart 4door. Great car, it had a little over 51,000 miles when I got it. Pretty sure it wasn't rolled over and 151,00 because of indicators like the pedal rubbers were not worn out even a little.

A previous owner did some maintenance to keep it roadworthy, the alternator and water pump were clearly replaced as well as some electrical stuff and sections of brake lines. Anyway, I put a little over 3000 miles on it since July and now the front brake shoes are worn down pretty thin. Of course no auto parts stores around me stock or can find the parts. Anybody have suggestions for finding these seemingly oddball front drum brake shows? It's a 225 /6 car with 9X2-1/2 front drums, 9X2 rears. I'm not interested in swapping to discs unless there is a REALLY CHEAP option out there. Thanx in advance!

I have some front drums off a 1966 225 auto barracuda replaced with speedway 48 inch straight axle and disc brakes also have the rear drums and shoes replaced with 9 inch and disc brakes down here in South TEXAS

Wow - three new 64 Darts today - welcome aboard!

Scarebird is the cheapest disc brake conversion kit
You might be able to do better at the junk yard?

9 in drums are common replacement part at the stores.. discs of course are sooo much better.

4 64's really, I never told you guys bout mine I picked up llast fall. LOL as common as hemi cudas!!!??? LOL

Welcome Primer. I'm in eastern CT, have a '65 Barracuda and a '72 Demon among other things. The shoes can be gotten from any Jobber parts store - like a NAPA or Car Quest deal. They'll probably have to order them in but they can get them. NAPA part is TS TS112 for the 9x2.5" shoes. Same with the hardware, cylinders, and pretty much anything else you need. That's where I got mine.
