I have brand new 5/16 fuel line ,new sender 5/16 and new tank, will need electric fuel pump for new motor ,sometime in near future, 318 magnum about 300 hp should I change fuel line to put pump in ,or is 5/16 good enough, I will change sender so can get one with a return line fitting on it ,any thoughts on set up , thanks

It'll be fine. I am basing this on what came stock on many cars. Like the under-rated "275 H. P." 340s with huge 800 cfm carbs on them. They came with 5/16" lines on most cars.

5/16 will support 500 HP if the rest of the fuel system is right.

Thanks for the replies ,i'll keep the 5/16 just needed to be sure ,read too many posts on 3/8, lol ,saw an edelbrock fuel pump with built in regulater at car show last night, think I might look into that one for motor swap

I have a holley red pump I let you have for shipping costs. New, hooked up but no miles. just ran fuel thru it on stand. MT
