Installing the Summit 2.5in A body exhaust

-
only problem is, I have my springs located inward 3" on my 72 duster and I need to figure out how I am going to get my exhaust over my axle ....so I may have to have something custom bent up....not sure because I want to see pictures how everyone else has ran this kit over the axle.....
Found these in my hunt for pictures of 3" tailpipes with relocated springs...

Are you guys still happy with this system? How does it sound?
Will these bolt up to the stock manifolds?

Is 2.5" a limiting factor for a 5.9L Magnum? Not sure if I should invest in 3"...

I just sat on hold with Summit for 15 minutes...perhaps I will give them another try.

These systems are for headers and areisted to work with Hooker Comp. headers.
2.5 inch exhaust pipe is a good size and will handle 400+ HP.
At 3 inches, your good for 500 HP
These are general guide lines not set in stone.

What is the goal or current power level of the 5.9?
What is the intended purpose of the car?
Mostly street or track. 50/50-ish?

Thanks, Rumblefish.

The car is going to be street...maybe an occasional trip to the strip down the road. It's a "Magnum300" (mild) and will stay that way for a while... it sounds like 2.5" would probably be fine.

I read a test showing almost no benefit from headers on this exact motor...but it sounds like I might need to save up for them anyway if I'm going to go this route.

At this point, I'm looking to get this car back on the road before mid-summer and I'm looking for the simplest solutions...impatience never pays off. :)

I am installing the summit kit this week, I bought TTI down pipes for my stock manifolds.

Here is the TTI manifold pipes, on the bench, they fit under the car with no issues.
I checked fit, welded standard header collectors on them, the pipes come out past the transmission cross member.

Here is what the summit kit has in it, I removed the large box of clamps to take the picture.

Small update, have not been working on the duster much, it as been 90+ degrees every day after work, but here is a pic of the TTI manifold pipes, with the front hook up pipes on the Summit exhaust not installed.
I will have to make a piece to attach to the head pipes.
The reason I did it this way is I can take the down pipes off in necessary to allow more room for clutch / motor changes.
