Not all SBM starters are created equal....
Showing the rebuilt starter I bought locally (top) and the one that I pulled from the Barracuda. If you look at the 3rd photo on page 34 of this thread, you can see the bolt under the engine block that prohibits installing the larger starter motor -- even though that part number lists for my car!
Both part numbers list for my car on auto parts websites. Be warned!
