Well its time fabo here we go the toad is officially under reconstruction ive been gathering parts for the big block swap for the last year. And I finally was able to get a early A drop link from member cosgig THANKS GEOF. I installed the drop link and keep going and installed a empty block 400 with a 699+2 quart oil pan with schmacher mounts and 727. I order some header flanges and bends to make my upsweep turbo headers so the mock up block was needed....

Do you plan on cutting the inner fenders for the exhaust? Looks like a awesome build. Can't wait to follow the progress.

No only if I have too the down pipes off the turbo, turbos may go thru the inner fenders.

Pettybludart I havent decided if im going too run twins or a big swing once i get the headers built and too a point where the engine bay starts getting tight ill make my decision then.:burnout:
I gotta order some head gaskets so i can get a starting point header flanges and bends will be here next week. And im hoping to possibly have my block close to assemble by the end of June. Aaron

Running out of space fast hoping to start the header build by next week.
Looks like im going to need a 2 bolt offset master cyclinder adapter like whats used for a hemi swap if any one has one and wants to help the build please pm me. Heres a couple shot of the cyclinder heads atop the mock up block.

Drivers side

P.side im going to have to rerouter my fpr.

Well i finally got the delivery ive been waiting for and heres what showed up at the house.

This should keep me busy for the next couple weeks im excited to final get these headers started and built. I bought a tig welder a couple years ago but havent used it very much I normally mig just about everything I do I even took a refresher tig welding class over the winter that was offered to me from my work just for this header build so im pretty excited today.......
As for the progress on the block perp I got one side filled with a partial fill of moroso block fill, ill have to let it setup for about a week before I do the other side. Im planning on letting it set for about 3 weeks before i take the block into the machine shop for its final bore size..
Once i start building the heades ill post up some pics for you all to see
Stay Tuned this is going to be interesting

Update
The block has been filled on both side and heads and mains have been torqued and ill let the block set for another couple weeks, honestly proably wont do anything with the block till next month we have our 2 week maintenance shut down at the steel mill coming up at the end of the month and that normally turns into about 180 hours in 2 weeks.....Makes for some good hot rodding funds thou....
I started working on the passenger side header and have 2and4 ports stubs ready to weld into the flange which are the tights ones because of the shock tower.

Stay tuned
Aaron
