On Monday we will be breaking ground for a new garage, it will be 40' X 70' X 12' and will be connected to my existing 30' X 70' by a 20' X 20' living area with a full bath. The new garage and living area will be central heated and air conditioned and will have a 16' X 40' covered patio party area in the rear. On Sunday I drove the well for the new building it is 17 feet deep and has 7 feet of water in the pipe. I will post pictures as it comes along it should be under roof in a few weeks and finished by mid June.

dadgum! those are warehouses!!

where in the world do you live to hit water that shallow!????

winter home... that's what I need!!!!

At my parents old place in Oklahoma you could take a shovel scoop out of the ground and the hole would start filling up with water as soon as you did.

I'm hoping it will be big enough that I won't have to build any more for a while. We want to build a house next year and sell the one that we have now, if we do I will need a three or four stall on the house because I have eight car storage at the house that i have now and I will be losing it.
The neighbors well is 18 feet deep and they drove it 28 years ago, they have never run out of water and don't even need a conditioner, the water is great. It cost me about $130.00 and a few hours to put the well in and I will be using the pump and tank from the existing well.

Lumber showed up today, they are setting posts tomorrow. I picked up the toilet and bathroom sink / vanity tonight, my local Lowes was out of the shower kit that I need so I have to go to another Lowes tomorrow to pick it up.

Looking exciting :glasses7: I will be starting a thread like this soon :color: real soon

Not quit as big but my son drew up plans for a 46 deep by 40 wide :color:

46 X 40 is a nice size, it really doesn't matter how big you build they always end up too small. I will end up with a machine shop in part of it, after retirement I need hobby money.

This is why I am putting up the land and getting my first loan to build, This will give Creed a place to keep some of his building tools and put some extra cash in mine :color:
I get the loan and he makes the payments :D

if I get you loan, will you make my payments!!!??? LOL

my well here is 450 ft, deep cost $8-9000 ,,,,8 years ago!! LOL and it needs a pvc liner, the water goes up into the casing so far....

make the building tall enough you can come off the side with a lean-to if needed!!

This is at 1:00 today, they said they will have some trusses up today depending on wind. The inside is about 12' 4'' high, just enough for a lift. I'm going to order a backyard buddy lift in a week or so.

First day of building, some of the trusses are up. Tomorrow should have a roof and part of the sides covered if the wind stays away. It sounds like my holiday weekend will be roughing in the plumbing so they can pour the floor.
