researched this on my own, so far back I don`t remember all of it. the positives of long rods out weigh the negatives. less cyl. wall loading, flatter torque curve, longer dwell time at TDC. bill Jenkins had some great info on this, backed up by Chryslers long rod nascar engines. they didn`t do that for the hell of it !!
