I know- its not an A body- but it is a 5.7 swap. I finished mocking up the exhaust for my Warlock today. I wanted a Lil' Red type system, but didn't like the way they usually hang so low so you can see most of the piping.

Jeep SRT8 factory headers, full 3" mandrel bend with X pipe, Spintech Sportsman XL mufflers, and stacks. I got mine tucked up and almost invisible to the passerby. Giant pain in the *** because of the space limitations by keeping it hidden. Had to get creative to get the X pipe to fit and still get the tubing out to the rockers to meet up with the mufflers. This may be the last exhaust I do- it took forever.

Simply Gorgeous! Hope it sounds as good ,as the craftsmanship looks. Nice work.
 
That looks great! It's nice to see somebody who really cares about the details! My '77 D100 is it the muffler shop now. I simply told him to tuck it up as high as he could without causing issues and to take as long as he needed! It's hard as hell to hide the exhaust on these trucks.
 
Wow, what a creative twist (well, loop actually) for getting that X pipe into that short system. Great job. Paint or PC it charcoal or black and it will disappear from side view. Be sure and drill a pin hole at the elbow going into the stack. Been there, done that with a Lil Red I use to have. Fun trucks. Your's is going to sound great!

I love how you routed everything with the nice bends. It's so nontraditional which makes it really unique! I too want to hear how the Spintechs sound.

I had a single Spintech Pro Street series on a Ford Ranger V6 and I loved it!
 
I am definitely a fan of the Spintech's. I had built a system for my '67 440 Cuda years ago. Same basics as this one, 3" mandrel/ x pipe/ etc... But had the Sportsman mufflers which use 6 spin traps. Always thought it was a bit loud at idle. They now have a Sportsman XL using 8 spin traps so i went with that one this time around. Almost went with their truck series muffler with 10 traps, but not knowing how quiet those would be I played it safe.

My HotWire ECU and harness should be here in a couple weeks. Close to road ready now- should be ready to fire it up as soon as it shows up.
 
Here is the system I built for the Cuda. Ignore the tailpipes in the first pic, I hated them hanging under the frame rails like an afterthought so I reworked them into sort of a D-Dart style exhaust in the last pic.

I've only heard Spintech's once and they sounded awesome. The biggest downside to them though is cost. The side exit mufflers are like $300.
