Hi guys! Mopar newby here with a new to me '65 Barracuda.
It seems mostly solid and a good candidate for a project.
Everybody loves pics:

I hope so!
Looks like the first thing I need is a left side trunk hinge (and the trim). No luck on ebay or in the 'for sale' forums here. My local salvage yards are pretty slim on anything remotely this old. If anybody has a lead on that hinge I'm all ears.

Dang, thats pretty straight. Complete with Barracuda "racing stripe" (under gas filler) Seats look recovered but its all there. I bet that paint will take a wax too. That hinge cover will pop up, look under parts cars. 6 or 8? Im guessing 6 as I see no fender call outs, but no matter, both are cool. Need some wiper arms too!

Yeah, it's got a slant 6. Runs but oil pressure light stays on while it's running. Doesn't knock yet. It's got a new looking fuel pump on it and an electric pump. Cranking over it sounds like only one cylinder has decent compression. I figure the cam is toast. None of that matters, I have a fresh slant going together right now.

Interior looks pretty new, at least not worn. Way too good to be 50 years old. Not a primo job but that doesn't matter to me. I'm just happy to be able to focus on the mechanical stuff and not have to devote energy on the interior.

The paint looks OK in the pics but it's actually a crap paint job. Flaking and chipping around all the edges. Showing the yellow underneath. There's at least 4 different colors on paint on it. You can see yellow under the rear bumper. When the put the red on they didn't bother removing the rear bumper or trying to paint underneath it.

Nice fish you have there, great start! BTW....welcome to FABO :glasses7:

Try Dave at classic junk yard in Pine Grove PA. He hat a car he was stripping a few weeks ago.

Very nice car! Does it need the whole hinge or just the hinge cover? And, it's ready to pull your camp trailer!!

Does this tag tell me anything I need to know?

The front floor pan has been cut out and replaced. Not too terribly long ago. Both sides.

I sourced the missing trunk hinge from a member here.
Still don't have a hinge cover but that can wait for a bit.
In the meantime I 'printed' a temporary hinge cover with my Makerbot 3D printer.
