This is really old school but I take a straight edge(broom,mop handle) and after mocking up the intake, carb and air cleaner,lay it across the fenders and see if it touches.If barely you may have as much as 3/4 inch when the hood closes.Less if the brace crosses above the air cleaner.That is if you have the other intake off.Just a thought..

Thanks. Engine still together. I need to get 340 manifold blasted, and painted for use and I wanted to make sure it would fit before I spent more money on it. I really wanted to make this swap a one day thing. Putting 714/302 heads and this 340 duel plane Mopar Intake. And going back to a solid camshaft and lifters. Thanks again.:burnout:MT
