Looking at having some through the fender headers built for my 440 70 dart drag car. What are y'all's thoughts on this style of header? Seems like they are rare on a bracket car like mine as I haven't found many pictures of them. Please share your thoughts on them or if you have pictures of them on your car.

Looking at exiting them right behind front tire out the fender. I can have them built for the same price as hooker super comps and not have to worry about clearance issues and front tires rubbing.

I run the Heddman Hustler fenderwell headers on my SB race car.Make sure you get them coated, you,ll be glad you did.

I had a set on my bb440 '74 dart. Lots of heat and not much room for tyres.
I have heaps photos of how they looked and fitted.

my old 65 cuda these are custom....this is the way to go on your car....they make a statement and perform, also note the small hole needed in the fenderwell unlike the mass produced...

ugly ones are hooker 2 inch the custom i believe were 1 7/8... spend the money and use that top pic with a good fabricator to use as a plan... left plenty of tire room, looked swell, and kept body cutting to a minimal.

Not much ground clearance and as mentioned earlier you are very limited on front tire size. Performance is great.

I like through the fender, if I were doing a fresh build, thats the way I'd go.
Even for a street car, I'd like to see them through the sheet metal in front of rear wheel well.
I love the look and sure seems like a good way to keep them up out of the way.

i have tons of ground clearance... depends on how they are done and how good the exhaust man is....

I bought the car with them already fitted. Who ever did it hacked the fenders up, looked horrible. They were hooker fender well headers not sure the pipe size but the collector was about 3". Front tyres used to rub badly.

Thanx guys. Yea i know fenderwells are what we have used forever. I was asking more about the fender exits that actually exit out the front fender behind the tire. Like the ones 440outlawdart posted.

Yeah, I know, I figured that is what you meant. I was just busting your jewels.
