Wouldn't-cha know it the instant I get the 'white whale' all torn apart, this thing turns up:

So I guess it'll be "White Whale I" and "White Whale II" LOL

and here I was hoping to see you go after that yellow scamp....I am guessing that was also a road trip from your habitat.

Heh. If I had "a little more money" I might have. O' course, I have to have something fixed to pull a trailer, first, LOL

.......And a fine time was had by all. For no good reason, I bought this rolling wreck..........600 bucks. 2somethinK on the clock, worse than "a beater." But it DID arrive all the way from Valley, WA to Coeur d Alene. Got home about 3:30, even got down to the DMV and transferred the title. I did not license it. I think I'm going to junk it. Pull the drive train and "rest" the body for now up at the other property.

The missing grille is "deer damage"

It has shifter linkage problems and shifting problems. When you stick it in drive, "it's in" 3rd. Pretty much how I drove it home. There's about a foot of play in the shifter. Does not seem to go in/ out of OD No idea, for now. A/C compressor is froze up, someone put a shorter belt on and bypassed the pump. Charging system doesn't seem to work, in spite of a brand new ?? alternator. "Minor problems" LOL

"the twins" LMAO

that is a great looking body style ..I cant say I am a fan of the newer ones but that is a "classic" style that is going to be looking and dated appropriately for decades to come.

Glad you got home safely with your new GF lol

We had a white 98 2wd ex cab 360mag. Really liked that truck, but no traction on the boat ramps. That thing would get stuck if a toad pee'd in the road in front of it.

The seller of "whale II" claims it "has a posi." We'll see. It might find it's way into "whale I" LMAO

You must be a bored man, enjoy yourself!

On the contrary, I have way too much to do, and not near enough time or money, and probably won't live that long. If I manage to live only 4 more years I will have outlived my Dad's age (71), and have already outlived two cousins, died young of cancer, a sister died in her early 50's of brain cancer, and a few others. On of my Grandmothers died in her early 50's as well.

The shifter problem sounds like mine and bad cab mounts are the problem

So how is the door gap? Tight top, wide bottom, On the front edge?

Doors don't look too bad. It's over 90 something F here today, not to my "good." It's about 20F above "average" for this time. So today I did little out doors, was busy this morning, and nothing on the truck. Plus, I have the "real" whale on the hoist until I get the TF back in.

This thing is "right at the point" of being junk or not. Both of 'em need paint BAD. Main reason I bought it I guess "is a stash" of parts.
