Need a copy of Trans-Go's installation instructions..

Recently removed a manual valve body from a 727 to go back to a fully automatic shifting trans. I am looking for the instructions for the "Manual valvebody" installation, i think there might be a port plug in the case.. I want to confirm i have not missed anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
IIRC manual valve bodies have the passages fully open because the shift control is done inside the valve body. But - you will also need the acumulator spring or a blocking rod depending on the level of shift kit the auto shift one has.
But - If you look up into the case where the fluid passages are at the front of the pan... There could be a plug or restrictor in a passage there too so it's worth a look. Also again, you may need to install a plug/restrictor into a passage there too depending on the level of performance of the kit you have.

Add to this that using a manual valve body also usually involves blocking off and/or removing the governor.

the long and short of it is, i took a 727 manual shift to a local rebuilder and had it rebuilt. I asked for him to swap the valve body for and automatic one, only to find out after i installed it that it will not up-shift.. I called and explaind to the owner my comcerns.. He spoke to his builder and asked if he noticed anything in the govenor that did not look right.. Turns out the builder did not take the govenor apart. I was pissed to say the least.. Now he asked me to see if i can locate a set of instructions for the Trans-go kit.. I am pretty ticked off about the whole thing.. Thats what you get for trusting people who say "we have done hundreds of them" Now i have little time to get the car back over to the shop to get it looked at. I figure if i go down there i sm liable to get hot under the collar, so i am trying to get as much info as i can so my time spent there is minimal. Last trans i take to this shop. $hit happens and i realize people make errors.. But a half *** job is not my idea of transmission assembly.

I hear ya loud and clear.
The only thing I have EVER let someone else do was change and balance tires and balance my driveline.

If you do end up taking it back, tell them you want it back working like you were quoted and paid for.

My son had a friend that took her car to the shop for overheating problems, and when she got it back after $1,100 bucks (all she had) and it was no better than it was before she took it in.
It overheated and blew the coolant out before she even got back home with it (8 miles)
This is the letter I sent them, and they returned the entire amount to her.
When a shop pulls something like this I don't mind naming names.

Dear Network Automotive
I am contacting you on behalf of Mychelle Batteaux, a recent customer and citizen of Prescott, AZ whose 1999 Isusu Rodeo was diagnosed and worked on by the establishment at 233 Grove Ave. Prescott, AZ 86301 928.717.0689
Mychelle paid a $90.00 diagnostic fee to diagnose an overheating issue with said vehicle and was told it was a bad radiator.
She authorized the replacement of said radiator as well as a thermostat and various cooling system hoses as recommended by this shop for the amount of approx. $1,100 dollars.
Upon driving the vehicle 8 miles to Prescott Valley, AZ the vehicle again overheated and had to be towed back to the Prescott shop.
Mychelle received a phone call the next day informing her that both heads on the vehicle were cracked (causing the overheating problem) and that it would require another $5,000.00 to repair the vehicle with a replacement used engine.
I'm sure by now you can see where this went south.
Had the heads been diagnosed within the paid $90.00 diagnostic Mychelle would have opted not to put $5,000.00 into this vehicle and to purchase a different car.
I'm sure being in the automotive repair business you know that a simple cooling system pressure check would have immediately indicated that there were compression leaks into the cooling system, and consequently coolant was being pushed out allowing the vehicle to overheat.
The Prescott location informed Mychelle that if she were to allow them to replace the engine, they would apply the previous charges of approx. $1,100 towards the engine replacement.
This is simply not acceptable and we ask that her diagnostic fee, as well as the charges for a misdiagnosed and expensive repair be returned immediately in full.
The diagnostic was flawed therefore causing the repairs to be flawed, so the entire job was pointless.
I understand that nobody is above making a mistake, but they do need to be made right.
Please make arrangements for reimbursement to Mychelle via her contact information provided on your service order.

I have the Trans-go TF-3 instructions Dave. It shows a cup plug that's driven into the case to block the governor. It's under where the valve body bolts to the case. PM me your e-mail address and I can e-mail them to you

BTW: as I mentioned these are the Trans-go TF-3 manual shift instructions. If that's what valve body your trans had this should help you. If yours had an aftermarket manual valve body it may not use the same method to disable the governor.

Just because a guy changes tires in a tire shop, doesn't make him a tire expert.The whole automotive industry is full of fakers after your coin...

Thanks Fishy for your input, another member also took time to help me out with the instructions. I have a copy now and hopefuly i can resolve this issue. Thanks again guys for your help.

Sorted out the shifting issue. Turns out there was a port-plug in the case preventing the govenor to feed the valvebody.
