I was impressed with your talents until I got to your home made distributor. Now you're just getting cocky ;)
 
I've got round to making a steering column that is colapseable....for safety's sake.
I used a bare column from an Aussie Ford XF Falcon, made the upper bearing mount, used a heavier duty bearing, made a Nylon bushing for the lower, and a dress piece to hide the rest of the shaft.
I had a SAAS steering wheel boss kit sitting around, and I machined off the powder coating and the rough casting as well, to make it smooth.

That's a SAAS steering wheel....and it wasn't a direct fit either....so I had to file the 5mm holes outwards and increase the size to 1/4" so it would fit.

I had some old heavy axles.....very rough forging, and out of balance too.....not anymore...
I removed the wheel studs, the old bearings, smoothed them out, and beadblasted the flange ends.
I roughed them down, then ran the angle grinder down them for a smoother finish.
I buffed and beadblasted the wheel studs too, and put a light zinc plating coat on them.

I finally got around to mounting the body onto my home made Rotisserie, and have started on cleaning off all the old body deadener. Then I buff it all back to bare metal, and then prime it with a 1K Etch Primer.
I'm doing it section by section as time allows.
It took me all day just to do the wheel house.....from stripping the deadener off to painting it.
I use a hand held Snap-On brand sandblaster to get at the bits I can't buff back to bare metal.

I found some airfilter kits to fit my Delorto DHLA 45's.
They are stainless steel, and have a K&N style filter.....different to the picture on the box.....that was how they used to be.
The airfilters are 3" tall.
I bought the carbys brand new back in 1992, and never got round to fitting them....thats going to change.
I'm thinking about making some small velocity stacks to fit inside the airfilters......wait n see.

I believe the triple Weber manifold was made in Australia, any idea who made it? I have one identical to yours with nothing to identify who made it. I am going to try a triple SU (it's a Lynx) in my wagon then might give my triple Webers a go.

There were a few makers of aftermarket intakes in Oz many years ago, Speco, Lynx and Cain were the popular ones.
Mine is a Lynx one.
The people that make them now is AussieSpeed.
Just type in aussiespeed into google and it will pop up.

Hahahahahaaaaa..... I dunno. the brand is SAAS. They makes seats, gauges....all sorts of stuff, they have been around for a while....30+ years. Aussie company.
 
I then beadblasted the pieces and set them up on the car to see where I could centre it to suit.
As it turned out, I had to reverse the out rim to get it centred.....which meant welding up the valve stem hole, and drilling a new one.
Then checked them for centre/square with a dial indicator, and welded them in place.

I've never seen anyone do this before in a home shop. Nice work!
