I will go back with oem style for 273 4 bbl setup. what size pipe is the exhaust pipe? i'm thinking the pipe from exh man back, the y pipes, and to muffler was 2 1/4 the out from muf was 2 1/2?????
I have local guy bend the pipe, he has a real hard time with anything bigger than 2 1/4 where it leaving the exh man.

this is driver, no racer. and buying stuff like mandrel bent tti stuff is NOT on my plate!!! LOL thanks for any info.

Your guy is right, 2 1/4" is super tight going through the torsion bar clearance spot! My guy whined about how tight it was, all of he way to the bank to cash my check!!

I believe the OE setup is 1 7/8", but I can check when I get home!!

If I remember right, it is 2", might be 1 7/8, from the manifolds to the 2.25 ID "collector" end of the Y pipe, to a 2 1/4 intermediate pipe, to a straight through muffler, then 2 1/4 over the axle and into a second 2 1/4 straight through resonator.

I'm running dual 2" from manifolds back on my 273 dart. Like the way it sounds and wasn't to hard on my muffler buddy. Dustin

wellllllllll...... I old fellow , ( ok so he's 70 and i'm 67)! LOL , country garage, good pipe bender. I have used him on more than a few old mopars. I been waiting on him for 5 weeks, he was on fishing vacation 2 weeks, then in insurance school ( sells farm owner ins on side) for next 2 weeks, finally get where I can haul it to him. load it and unload it in the rain. been pouring here for weeks!
yes it s tight. 65 273 cuda. I doesn't think he can make the tight bends!!!!! maybe he can't.
I can't find anyone that will sell me just sell a y pipe for it. accurtate exh. says my guy will never be able to make the int pipe.?? looks like that would be NO problem. y with int pipe pipe with shipping is like $$480. not on my late!
I guess I will have to just keep searching for a local bender. that should cost maybe $200 at most, around here IF I can find someone to tackle it.
I had to put this car back together from a roller in boxes. just need exh. I would like to drive it before i'm too old!!!!! LOL
like Cosgig says, his guy whined ALL the way to the bank!!!! LOL ( and thanks for those parts too!!!)...
I looked up Walker. 70 is the earliest they cater to for A body.
the bad part about now looking for a bender I loading it up, hauling there , unloading for them to look at it and then decide if they want to screw with it!!!
I could put together 5-6 B bodies for the time I have put into this cuda!!! LOL whinning over!

I found another fairly local pipe bender. he said he is familiar with the 273 65 cuda setup, . agrees its plenty tight, but said he can do it, 2 in head pipes for sure. guesses 3 hrs at $60 per hour plus pipe.
accurate exh has what they call their hp setup with 2 1/2 in pipe, if stock was 1 7/8 or 2 into the y collector, and then 2 1/4, looks like it is all workable. I can afford maybe $225 not $480! LOL I want to eat the rest of the month???? LOL
