it's been a long time since I've been on the site, and an even longer time since I've driven my Dart. long ago I started a thread about this car. the plan then was to slowly fix it up and drive it around. things change and right now I'm trying to start a business and have been working fixing up a Durango.
here are a few of the stats. it has a refreshed 318. I took out the slant and put this 78 318 in. it was a basically runnable 318. I bumped it up to near 10:1 and did the rings and bearings. I added a Hughes 518 lift Whiplash cam and lifters. I also added an Edelbrock-intake. it has a basic stock look but sounds a bit better.
it has big bolt pattern front-disc-brakes and a dual-master-cylinder. the plan was to install the big-bolt-8 3/4 drop out with a 3.91 posi in it, but I never got around to it. I have the drop out here if there is an interest. there are probably around 100 miles since I did the engine, and maybe 50 or so since the cam and lifters went in.
it runs nice and sounds good. it's not terribly fast owing to the 2.76 7 1/4 rear end in it at present. I've been a little afraid to really get on it in fear of splattering the small rear end.
I have a nicer hood and another set of front-fenders as well as a clean front valance
it currently has 66 Charger hubcaps on it with 5.5in. wide wheels. the rears are Formula S rims, the front are 66 Charger (the hubcaps require a special offset). the Uniroyal-tires were new at the time I did the engine so they're still almost new.
it will need some stuff done to be really nice, but a lot has already been done.
the car is a California-native, and I've owned it since 1994. when I got it it had a faculty-parking-sticker on the bumper from Pasadena College, so this is truly "the little old lady from Pasadena's" car. I can't remember her name, but the car went to a local wrecking yard when she got too old to drive and they called my dad who's known to be into this type of thing. she had banged the driver-fender which is why it is currently in primer. long ago something happened, the driver-fender, hood, and door have been paint matched and blended in. the door looks like it has been skinned. the rest of the car is in it's original finish which is rare. it has a couple of orange spots and some thin paint, but no real rust. you could paint this or just drive it. I plan on taking some new photos and maybe a youtube video of it running, but wanted to get it listed today.
I'd like it to go to someone who will love it and drive it, it's a nice car and deserves that.
the car is located in Lancaster Ca, just north of Los Angeles.
I want $3500obo for the car as it sits, the extras are available but not part of the deal at that price.
Thanks for looking,
Scott

Manual or AT, Bucket or bench, column or floor shift...................what is considered the extras as a lot of additional items were mentioned?

PJ

push-button-auto-trans, power-steering, it's a GT so bucket-seats.
all of the items mentioned are extras. $3500 obo is for the car as it is right now. I'll throw in the sheet-metal-parts if someone wants it for the $3500

I'm going to bump this. I just don't have time to get around to finishing this, and hate to see it go unloved.
somebody come get this great Ca. desert car. I'll take offers.
