Power Brake Booster

To the OP Jan.
I just rebuilt the Power Brake booster in my 69 B-Cuda. It was the dual diaphram Midland-Ross type. Their are two diameter sizes, for the Diaphrams, 6.250 in, and 7.0 (I think is the other size), mine was 6.250. I searched for a rebuilt for almost a year. Their are none around, and the major rebuilders don't rebuild them, for lack of parts availability.

I found a rebuld kit at "Harmon Classic Brakes". George was very help full, and I now have power brakes again. I rebuilt it myself. The hardest part was getting it to seal, while holding a good vacuum. I finally hooked it up to my 67 B-Cudas vac line and it sealed itself.

The "Factory Service Manual" is your freind when doing this, if not just for all the pics. Use silicone grease on all the O-Rings also.

The whole cost was about $225.00, and thier was a $50.00 core charge on the diaphram with the metal hub, which was the bad one.

Hope this helps barracudadave67
