A nod to the old school look. Like the tires (Nitto 555R 275/60-15 drag radials) but in this case, not sure about the 15x8 black steelies with custom backspace. Leave 'em black? Paint 'em body color?

What do you think?

(Way better traction now)

Those look great! Leave them black. I have DRs on steelies also and even run the dog dishes over the top. I like the old school look.

Perfect look - leave them black! Why have you got custom bs on 8x15" wheels? B-body rear end?

Had B-body rear narrowed a long time ago to 58.25" (narrower than B but wider than A). Had also installed offset hangers. Had room to work with but wanted to make sure the tires were tucked in.

I like the black, matches the black stripe and 440 call out. Maybe add some old school torque thrust with dark gray centers for the front.

I love Steelies and Dog Dishes, and have them on both my rides. I'm running the same size Nitto's in the rear on my '68 A-body, and 325-50/15's on the rear of my E-body. The both tucked under with no rubbing using off the shelf backspacing. I love Nitto's. They make my cars safe to drive on the street.

I know you will get mad but you DID ask. I love black steelies. I think your car (the orange one) looks "ok", but I think it would REALLY pop if it had a little more space between the top of the rear tire and the rear quarter lip......yeah if you raised it up a little. I just never have dug a car that was as close to level as yours. Look at Demon408's car as a comparison. THAT looks awesome, IMO.

I agree, if your going old school look on the rear you have to go old school rims on the front.

Hey, no problem. I intentionally lowered the car when I originally built it and it actually does have a slight rake under most conditions. Ironically, I lowered it because I don't prefer a lot of air above the tires - and I see many Mopars with a lot of air. My original wheel/tire combo has the top of the tire even with the wheel opening or slightly up inside.

Since the Nittos are taller they tuck up even more right now. They should have given me a more noticeable rake too, but it doesn't appear that way. Just put them on and will be playing some more with it.

Your stance is perfect. Don't make it any higher.

PERFECT ride height!!!!! I mean...PERFECT. Too many mopars have that John Deere tractor stance.

Man, that is sexxxy!

I'm personally a fan of the black steelies. I may go black steel up front in the future to match the back. Your car looks great by the way. The black wheels match the stripe and 440 call out.

The black is super sexy...not "too much" and def not over the top. Love the rake....wouldn't touch it.
