A stock radiator will work if you have it re-cored with a "high flow efficiency" core, I did thiswith a 1966 22" rad, stock 4 blade fan and no shroud....works great with my built 340...so many people go aluminum when you can do this and still have your radiator fit like a glove and look good....plus I have heard that copper cools better than aluminum
