Wheels and tires for 1967 dodge dart questions
Since every car is different, take my advice with a grain of salt. Everyone seems to want to start cutting fender lips, moving springs, etc... just to get the fattest possible tires on their cars. But some cars are too nice to start irreversibly modifying. On my '69 Dart, which should be same as your '67, the biggest tire/wheel I can get on the back is a 15x7 with 4.50" backspacing, 225/60-15 tire. Tires are centered exactly in the wheel wells, there is less than 1/2" between the outer fender lip and the tire and less than 1/2" between the leaf spring and the tire. I had 235/60-15 tires on the back and they would sometimes rub, chewing up the sidewalls. This car has S/S springs and sits a little higher than stock. On the front, you can run the same size/wheel/offset. I cannot see how you could go much bigger on the front either.
