Drive shaft measurement

It DOES matter what the wheelbase is. With the same drivetrain, the Dodge will have a longer driveshaft compared to the Plymouth. Yes the engine/trans is in the same position in relationship to the firewall BUT, from there back, the floorpan is longer which in turn moves the rear end farther back. Pull up the back seat on a Dart and you can see where they lengthened the floorpan.

Ok then you measure the wheelbase and pull up the back seat and figure out how long the shaft needs to be.

While you do that and confuse the ever living **** out people on this board that don't know the difference between a 8.75 and dana and 7.2 and 8.2 , let alone if they have a 727 or 904... along with what yahoo made all kinds of half assed backyard bs changes to the car that has had umpteen different asses ruining it over the past 40 years or more...you make sure and use the wheelbase when all you had to say is measure from the trans output to the end yoke on the diff...

Do you see the problems and insanely added detail that people DO NOT NEED to worry about with a wheelbase dimension.
