How long do I wait for parts paid for before becoming a dick! ADDED SELLERS NAME !!!

I hate to ask, if 'is this the same tach that can be bought at the part store for $40" isn't a relevant question (admissable by the rule pointed out) then what is?

Simple... If you have a part for sale, do you want people coming in saying they can get it cheaper somewhere else?

Imagine this. You have a used part listed for sale. Someone else chimes in saying they saw the same part on ebay for $10 less. In your opinion, yours is in better condition. Now we have 5 pages of debate as to who's part is in better condition that culminates in an argument with name calling and all kinds of other unnecessary stuff.

How many "Nice Car" posts do you think there would be in the cars for sale threads without the rule? How about this, you have a car for sale and someone comes along and says they think its garbage. Should we leave that in there also?

Instead of FABO staff trying to be judge and jury for many for sale threads -- its a lot cleaner and easier to say "no commentary - relevant questions only".

If you go on ebay or craigslist, what questions can you ask publically? Zero. You have to email all questions.

There are other reasons as well, but in the end, believe me. These rules have been in place a long time for well thought out reasons. I didn't just sit down one day and ask myself "how can I aggravate the members?"
