I am wanting to put a new set of headers on my drag car ( its a slant 6 ) Its running 12.12's and I am close to 11's!!!
BUT to put the new headers on the car, the space the long tubes want to occupy already has the shifter cable mount and cable in the same space.
IS there a shifter for a reverse pattern that mounts to the trans from the rear? That would solve my problem without alot of cutting and welding. Thanks for the help and imput.

Only if you have a Ferd or GM transmixer in your Mopar LOL

I have a Cheetah MVB so this makes sence!! Best part is a sponcer wants to buy the shifter for me.....so I am ordering in the morning. THANKS for the help.......I have looked alot today, but never found one.LOL

Make sure you get the bracket that holds the cable at left rear of Trans.I don,t think my shifter kit came with one and had to order.

Just called.....looks like its back ordered for a month atleast. I will call the manufacturer tomorrow and find out if they have any , or when they might have one.

Here is the shifter that i had in my 65 Plymouth and loved it. it is easy to convert it from front to rear shift cable. Mopar65

If you REALLY want a Cheetah shifter, I'd pull the one out of my car and sell it to you. I fell into a smoking deal on a PPP airshifter about 6 mos ago and just haven't gotten around to getting the rest of the pieces for the install.

Be prepared to get a longer cable.
My '65 Dart has the shifter between the seats.....fairly typical location , and the cable that came with it...I think it was 5 ' , but it was too short to route without some significant bends.
I got a longer cable on Amazon , an 8 ' and it is the proverbial cat's fanny.
Long enough to run it well clear of headers , and it has generous bends that do not bind the cable at all.
Maybe look on Amazon for a shifter too........I am constantly amazed at what can be found on there.

Cheetah shifter is awesome. You wont be dissapointed with it.

Big THANKS to Jay/Abody.....we made a deal, and he pulled the shifter from his car, and it is on the way to me now!!!
