Well I had a great time at Carlisle. The guy I was supposed to go with bailed on me so I ended up taking my 9 year old son on the 4 1/2 hour voyage. I was a little nervous heading down since I've never been there before and since I didn't know where to park or where the hell I was going once there. I made a huge list of parts needed to help my resurrection of my 72 340 4 Spd Duster. If I brought thousands of dollars I could've bought more but I did pretty good getting some odds and ends,Saved myself shipping charges for some sheet metal needed. Anyways it was pretty friggin hot and my son was awesome. I was the one doing most of the complaining about the heat but we had a gret time. I cannot tell you how great all of the people were I talked to telling and listening to peoples stories was great. Already planning on going next year.

One last thing.....We went out to grab a bite after being there all day Saturday and when we got back to the Motel I parked my very old but fun as hell to drive 2003 Subaru WRX in between a 72 Yellow 340 4 Spd Duster and a Green 72 Cuda 340 Auto. What a great picure that was to take. I took a **** load of pics in the Motel parking lot......So many nice Mopars still live. Keep up the great work.....oh and to the blonde in the yellow 72 4 Spd Cuda with black stripes.....u were a sight too see moving a car length at a time in traffic.

went to carlisle wearing my FABO tee shirt. i didn't meet a single person who recognized my shirt!! i was hoping that there would have been a FABO "tent" or "area" or something but i didn't see any. was there a FABO site and did i miss it?

my wife and i walked all around the vendors and the prices seemed very reasonable to me. i bought a header panel with two partial grill inserts for a 68 cuda fastback "parts car" that i bought off of FABO a few years ago and only gave $125.00 for everything which i thought was a decent price. similar parts on ebay have been selling for $250 plus. i really didn't need the grill inserts and figured i'd just sell them to off-set the cost of the header. after buying this part i found another similar header panel in the next vendor row for only $75.00! as expected, there were hundreds and hundreds of mopar body, interior, engine and drive line parts for A bodies, B bodies and C bodies. and the cars were beyond amazing. at least 90% of the cars there were fully restored and included every A,B, and C body you could imagine. there were two buildings where the "six figure cars" were - one with just TA challengers and AAR cudas and the other one with "one of a kind" cars.

my wife and i got to the fairgrounds at about 12 noon and walked around till 6 p.m. we were too tired to stay longer. we got something to eat at the main food building rested for a spell and then left.

i hadn't been to carlisle for a number of years and had forgotten just how great that show is for rabid mopar fans. i didn't take either of my cudas but i do think i'm going to drag my 68 to the mopar nationals in columbus, oh in late august.

it's hard to come back down to earth after something like the carlisle mopar show. old plymouths are just like being addicted to some kind of drug. you get a little bit and you just want more and more.....

Well then.... You did not come by P205-P206 or you would have seen 3 guys wearing them. But, I also did not see, but a few. No FABO tent this year. It was usually done by Hemidenny whom was absent this year.

It was a great time! It would have been perfect if it was 50 degrees out! Maybe I will lose 150 pounds so next year the heat won't bother me as much.

I did not make this year, But I did make to York and lot cool race cars

Hey Extra Gold is your Duster GY8. What color is the interior and is a stick or auto?

Geezuz!!! If I lost 150, I'd weight about 30 pounds!!! LMAO

I always have fun at Carlisle. I think it took us about 2 hours just to go through the first 2 rows of parts. Lol This was I think my 17th year going. I wouldn't miss it.

Doing catch up here...

Got to Carlisle this year for my second time. (Last time was 10 years ago.) Had a great time. Got to ride in a Hellcat, got to ride in the Hotchkis Autocross 70 T/A Challenger, and I bit the bullet and bought a sharktooth grille for the Scamp!

This was fun:
