HELLCATS at Carlisle

Sorry, I like radio delete, no a/c, leaded fuel warning stickers, 1970's horsepower, and being under the hood daily.

OLD SCHOOL FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

I went for a ride in the Hellcat at Carlile. When I got in I told the driver that my daughter drives a 5.7 Challenger R/T and my son has a Viper and I grew up driving Hemi cars so he would have to try hard to impress me. He was up to the challenge, When we blasted off the tires would spin a couple of seconds and then you would feel yourself being sucked into the seat and just about then you could feel the boost coming up and you would get sucked in even more.(Oh, by the way, the beginning was running uphill) I think the thing would have pulled that hard all way up the tach but since we were only running about an eighth mile he had to put on the brakes real hard to miss the barrier at the end. The first thing I said was that the brakes worked considerably better than the old Hemi cars. Then he took off spinning sideways back down the hill and pulled up at the bottom and ask me what I thought. I'm not going to kid you, the car is very impressive and would take some abuse. I wouldn't buy a used one out of Detroit anytime after this show season though!
