72 Swinger Project

I jammed the car seats into the back and me and the wife took 5 and 6 in the parade. Little girl screamed with panic every time I goosed it, little boy screamed with joy. I started it before we left and he told me he liked how this car smells....exhaust and speed...hmmm.

Satin black treatment. Had all kinds of lush plans....but life remains a box of chocolates.

Polished and painted these. There was overspray on them from the factory. I didn't bother getting them rechromed on that fact. Check.

I took a chance and told them to stick it. Turned down another job at the office of the Surgeon General. Didn't want to yank my son out of high school before he graduates. Sale pending on my motor and looking a buyer on my Belvedere.

I wish I could tell AFPC that...my time here is quickly closing and supposedly the only openings for my AFSC, mandatory return is Ellsworth, SD. FML.

I hear ya. I will get that message in one year. I got the index card, standard response to insisting they honor my personnel action on my son's high school stabilization.

Ugh...well, I'm going to try and talk to someone about how sending me to SD instead of Texas would cost the AF at least $20K...because I plan to put Texas in my DD214.

One of the little suckers was broken when I tore it down. Anyone know where to find the 194 bulb holder?

New door handles inside and out arrived. Trim clip sets in. Next week installing sound proof and carpet. Having a ***** of a time getting the old paint off the interior panel molding. Was planning on no radio, but my buddy is telling me I need to put tunes in it. Not finding a direct in dash replacement with use of existing dash. NFC on radios....

Yeah, well don't cut the dash to put in an aftermarket radio. You probably already know that. Uncut '72 radio bezels are hard to come by. Mine's cut but doesn't bother me that much. But if the radio wasn't already installed there, I'd definitely be installing a different radio in a different location. If I cared about a radio, that is, which I don't, because the engine is music enough to my ears.

I an looking for some badly needed help! the 1972 dodge dart swinger i bought, has had the headliner ripped out, as well as the sail panels, and the trim below the headliner, and down the front windows, A ny help would be apprecaited, contact available!

@72Dodge...not cutting. I am trying to find everything for a radio and hide it.
@hammertime1950...headliner and sail panels are no issue. eBay and type it in or places like classic industries or Dante's have what you need. If you need interior screws and clips a place like Mr. Gs has them.

Here's a no bs good news story. Ordered the carbon fiber vinyl from eBay Jim Fillmore at Detroit Muscle Technologies. Wanted to get some to match for the door panel design I had in mind so I emailed, fully expecting no response. Immediate response. Jim packaged and prepped to ship, but forgot to do so. The delay to me was minor, but he gave a full refund and shipped the product anyway. Good stuff...

The 194 bulb holders, I actually found them when I was redoing my dash a while back...lemme look and see if I can find out where I got them.

OK, I found them online...just google "194 dash bulb holder" and you'll get tons of hits on both amazon and ebay...I'm pretty sure I found mine local to me...probably at AutoZone or Advance...or possibly pirated from the junkyard...

Got em' typed it in and found them on flea bay. Bulbs too. Replacing them all. As much time as I have on this dash I don't plan to undo.
