Plug wires ?

First let me say "Thank you" to everyone with a response to my initial question.
Secondly, I am not a professional in the field of spark plug wires. I own a '68 Dart with a bored out 360, and I am trying to dress up the engine bay with quality products. Having said that, I have spent the last 3 or 4 days researching plug wires for my application.

I'd like to believe that there are companies out there that have quality stuff and that they can sell there "Promotional information" and make me a believer. I also understand that there is a Patriotic side to purchasing products. So here goes...

I have looked at the following "Brands" of wires, and they are not in any particular order.
MSD - Taylor - Mallory - Accel's - Moroso - Bosch - Jegs - Summit - Mopar - NGK - Pertronix
Firecore50 - Magnacor and Granatelli.

What I have found is that the majority of these wires, by there respective companies have polished up their promotional / sales pitch, and as one A body enthusiast said in his post;
"Wire's are just wires". But if you look deep enough, you will find a few companies that put out quality stuff according to "Hot Rod Magazine" or other groups who have done research and are much more qualified than I am.

Companies such as Firecore50 or Magnacor and even Granatelli. But the true fact remains
HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO SPEND. $100 $200 $400 and up for wires, when a standard set is probably worth $40 - $50 bucks.

So I have down graded my expectations on what I believe to be "Quality" wires, and settle for something that is affordable, slightly better than manufacture quality, and something that looks a little flashy under the hood.

I'm going with Mopar wires, because none of the other "Box store brands" seemed to be any better.

If anyone is interested, check out the article "spark plug wires 101" I found it to be a good read. Thanks for listening.

ain`t going to compete w/ anybody on here about plug wires, But, did you look at the advertised resistance in the diff. brands of wires ? I have only seen 2-3 brands advertising the low resistance wires, M S D is one of them. that`s what I used on all my hotrods. you can find them on ebay for better prices some times. cheaper if you custom tailor them to you car too. look at what the fuel dragsters are running. just my 2 cents---bob
