Travel to the Pacific/Western!

Hello, I'm Hernan from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
With some friends plan to travel to the West of the US.
We go events NHRA Western National in Seattle and Bonneville Speed Week in Utha.
The trip would be from 5th to 22th August, we arrived and departed from the Los Angeles International Airport.

the planned route would be:
LA - Seattle - Yellwostone (a bit of nature does not hurt), Salt Lake City - Bonneville - Las Vegas - LA

Yesterday (07/20) announced the cancellation of Speed Week by problems with the salt layer.

My interest at the forum is whether you can advise me that other automotive events/cruises/meets/swaps/drag raceways/builders/etc can visit along the route or nearby.

It would be our pleasure if any forum user we would like to drink a few beers, watch their cars and talk about drag races.

I suggest you check out http://www.hotaugustnights.net for a great car show event in Nevada. This is also close to Lake Tahoe for some outstanding scenery.
After Hot August Nights you could drive down US Hwy 395 to Lee Vining and then take California State Hwy 120 up and over Tioga Pass (3031 m. elevation) and down into Yosemite National Park for some unforgettable scenery. After Yosemite you could drive to Sequoia National Park for more unforgettable scenery.

Enjoy the NHRA Northwest Nationals in Seattle. My next event is going to be the NHRA Finals at Pomona here in SoCal in November.
