Where do I find the correct hose for the K-H disc brakes?

Most suppliers' catalogs either don't list one or lump it together with drum brakes as "all", which I know isn't right. A lot of the online catalogs don't show a picture or use a generic picture, which also doesn't inspire confidence. Anyone have a part number that they know is good?

Sorry. It is certainly too bad in this day of computers that auto parts are headed "where they are headed," as "back then" there were GOOD catalogs and pictoral guides with drawings showing what parts actually looked like. Wagner, Raybestos, and Bendix to say the least. I have no idea nowadays, where or how you would do so.

I do not have a part number but there two different ones for the KH brakes 67 to 69 and the other one is 70 to 72 different shapes.

Wagner BH66718
NAPA BH36654
Car Quest BHA66718 CHW
Dorman H66718
Raybestos BH36654

They are all the same thing, no matter who's name is on the box.
I have bought them all, in all the years that i have been rebuilding these brakes.

A dozen Dunkin Doughnuts will do. lol

And for everyones information, the Kelsey Hayes disc brakes started in 1965, on the A body line of cars.

Do you know of a place that sells braided steel lines for 70 dart , and part mumber ?

No, i don't.
I'm not that type of enthusiast in aftermarket parts.
Your going to hafta, do your own research, homework, on that one.

Take those p/n's to a company that makes SS lines, they should be able to whip some up for you no problem.

That's what I wanted -- some available #s that were known good. I didn't want to have to waste time returning hoses that were too short or had the wrong ends. I'm on kind of a tight schedule.

FYI, I found two of those parts (Wagner BH66718, Raybestos BH36654) on RockAuto under "1970 Valiant". None of them were listed for 67-69 Barracuda. Figures.

They are not the same you have a D shape hose(70 to 72 and a square type hose(67 to 69 star shape on the car) I usually have both set of hoses here but not at the time to show you.

here's pictures of the two different hoses

square one is for 66 to 69 A bodies with the start pattern bracket on their car (also work on earlier A bodies) - Dorman H71319

D shape for the 70 to 72 Hard to see the flat side but look at the bottom - Dorman H66718

70 to 72 brake hose but what is the brake hose bracket on the caliper should also be D shape, these all match your bracket thats welded to the side of your frame rail. That should be D shape also.

Just completed this swap on my 1972 dart. The drum hoses on the car were actually the same and bolted right up to the K-H calipers. 1970-72 10" drum brakes use the same hose as disk for those years..

I have been doing this with all my cars and motorcycles.I take the old ones in and they make me better lines than anything out there that is rubber. They don't swell when you hit the brakes like the rubber ones do and you have a stronger feel in the pedal or hand lever in the motorcycles and you don't have to worry about them bursting .
