1969 Dart Street/Strip (Re)Build

I have heard that its best to find optimal timing for your combo FIRST. as it effects air/fuel mixtures. I know that advancing my initial timing leaned my car way out at idle. what was your air/fuel # at the top end of the track? I have my wideband set up and will be making passes friday. my car idles right now at 12.9-13.1 and at WOT up round 5000rpm im 13.9-14.1

You're probably right about the timing. I'll probably try that first next time. It's much easier to change that than jets. It sounds like your WOT is very lean. From what I've read, you want to be closer to 13.0-13.5 ish depending on the motor at WOT. That's where I was aiming. I was 12.9-13.1 at WOT and when I dropped a couple jet sizes it went to 13.5-13.7 so it was went to the lean side. Didn't get any changes in after that. At the moment I have idle at 14.7, cruise at 2K rpm it's around 13.7. I've been changing air bleeds like crazy trying to get it leaned out to at least 14.0 at crust and idle whilst getting mid low 13's at WOT. Before, it was 11's anything off idle which is why I get 5 mph. Going to change that.
