The Mopar 383 {1962 thru 1967} ~ 'You Magnificent Bastard'

Lets take a look .. Got involved in Mopars, late '80's .. The first Mopar that hit hard I liked.. A 70 Challenger, stock cast piston short block : .484 Purple worked heads, basic headers/ 4:30 gears / 10" 3200 stall T/A converter.(11:70's in it.... Y2K reboot, first kid's hot rod... '01 the car club found "a virgin 383 Magnum" long block.. The scary part: the stock shirt block, was sweet!!!) We tapped it ,for the bigger 1/2" pickup ,& better pan.A Crower grind close to the "440 Magnum " grind, lapped the valves on stock heads, shimmed the valves. No head work, no converter: Went 14:20's- 13.90's with 3:23's & and a buttload of family tuning..
