Machine Work on bellhousing require Clutch Pivot relocation?

I scored a free 4 speed bellhousing, but it has the 4.35 size bearing retainer hole , and I am placing it behind an OD unit with the 5.125 size bearing retainer hole. To make it work, I plan on taking it to a machine shop to have it punched out, but I noticed that the holes that the fork pivot screws to will get wiped out in the process. Do people usually get the holes retapped and drilled in the same degree and orientation as before, or does the new diameter of the hole screw the geometry up?

If you haven't yet, you might try to find out if someone would like to do a swap before you rip and tear.
