Are the Mancini Mag mounts any beter than the stock mounts

-
The mancicni mag mounts actually consist of a factory mount for the passenger side and a modified factory mount (a through bolt) for the driver side. The driver side is the modified one because of the way the motor "torques up". I have two driver side mag mounts on my car now because the passenger side mount they provided only lasted about 100 miles before it separated. That being said, I could never see the modified one doing that. I like the mounts the way I have them set up. You will feel the engine a bit more but I think it makes the car feel more responsive because it eliminates a lot of engine movement. If you order a set, you may find that it would be pretty easy to make yourself and you can find the proper bolt and modify you passenger side mount. Or better yet with a good picture, just buy some cheap mounts and make both and save a bunch of dough. They are literally nothing more than cheap factory replacement mounts, one that has been modified.

I've had these mounts in my 340 Dart since 1999 and have given them hell with no problems. Since there is still a rubber biscuit between the halves they don't transmit much vibration at normal driving. When you get on it the plates move apart and the through bot contacts both plates, but at that point I don't think you are concerned with transmitted vibration:D

A torque strap with stock type mounts may also work for you. Even with the strap/rod holding the drivers side down the stock mounts still absorb vibrations like the strap isn't there.
