I'm New!

Welcome to FABO.

What part of Chicago are you in???

If you need help, give me a shout, I've been doing this for many years...

I'm in the south west burbs...

Perfect! I live in Pilsen/Bridgeport. Could you install new leaf springs and shocks for me?! I'm being cheeky. Aware that's a big job. I'm also in need of an expert opinion on my transmission which clicks and ticks noisily once the engine is warm. I've had it rebuilt twice, second time by Bridgeport Transmissions. Ghastly situation.

Bring it down and I can help you change the shocks & springs. They can be tough, but I have an ultimate set of tools, I can fix it....

Hola! There are lots of good DIY bodywork and generic repair videos on youtube as well.

Thanks Dustert73! I've watched some on replacing rear lead springs & man, does that job look tough!

It def can be like any repair job. Spray lots of PB blaster on all bolts for a day or so in advance before digging into it. It always makes things come apart easier with a few less swear words and busted knuckles lol Don't be afraid to cut/break bolts either, it's all replaceable :)

At first I thought I had clicked on the "Hot babes with Mopars" link!
Welcome!
Yer gonna love this site.....as long as you're not afraid to get your hands dirty!

I think that she's willing to get a little dirty and is interested in learning about her car.

Very nice and friendly, she was really getting into meeting others and cruising. She may become a regular here as she fits in with the cruisers.

Here are some pictures of her car.

71 Dart 318, 904, 8 3/4" axle, P/S, P/B, A/C, electronic ignition, very nice condition, black on black. She didn't think that the under hood was clean enough to leave her hood up, but it's fine. I've seen and had much worse looking, hers is not that bad, nothing to be ashamed of. It looks like someone put some cat's upstream in the exhaust right as it comes out of the engine bay, then it also has mufflers in the back...
