I hate hacks!

Was working in a shop that "allowed" an a rolling aftermarket remote starter guy to use the bay in bad weather. I was walking by and just happened to glance over. He was under the hood, scotch locking the hot wire for the remote start into the injector control wire. I promptly slapped the damn tools out of his hand and started ripping him a new one.

When the damn thing develops a misfire or a no start, then I'll have to fix his f*** up. I just had, as he did the same damned thing on a 4.0L Jeep that I fixed two days before. Seems that was his MO, hacking into injector wires with scotch locks.

Customer had a an amp installed in her car by a local detail shop that also "did" stereos. She brought it to me for an intermittent no start. The idiots took the fuse out for the ignition "on" and jammed a wire down in the fuse panel.

I hate those drive by, no experience necessary, get rich quick "installers." They have no idea what an actual wiring diagram is, poke and prod with a test light to find a constant on or accessory on wire and hack into it, usually with scotch locks and have no clue as to problems it will lead to down the road.
