ecu box problem

So Darren, you are just grounded to the firewall? Or do you have a separate ground going from the firewall somewhere?

Yes I also have a ground from firewall to engine. You can see it on intake manifold bolt in picture.

Well it looks like I found my problem.. got my new orange box mounted it (just like the blue box) the car fired up. And on 4 different occasions started with no problems. Must of been a faulty box.

Blasphemy to some here. They claim that Mopar ECU's are totally reliable and those substituting a GM or Ford HEI module are heretics. At least you didn't get the infamous "black goop" drip onto your inner fender.

Dam that's what that is! I've been scraping that off my inner fender well. P/O must of had that problem replaced unit and left the goop......
