Duster finally painted. Almost done.

My duster has been in the Bodyshop since last November. Should finally be finished this week. Full color change. My girls liked the chamelion paint better but it is to hard to blend for scratch repairs. So went with the MOPAR 99 code rallye green from 1969.
Lemme know what you all think. It's powered by a aluminum headed pump gas 408
Body guy talked me into spraying the rock guard on lower fenders rockers and rear quarters. It is green rubber. I drive 3 miles of gravel to get to my house.

Can't wait to see it assembled and the white factory stripes on.
Going to drag strip on aug. 22 at gateway. Hope air is good. Aiming to get it in the 10's

What a nice car!
It looks like it has a '75-'76 grille in it.
The Chamelion paint looked good to me and i would have left it that way.......
But, on the other hand, the green looks good too and will really pop with the stripes.
I would have left the gravel guard off though, but that's me.
Still an awesome car with a great stance!
Looking forward to more pics!
 
I agree on the rock guard. But with having to drive 6 miles of gravel each time I get it out. It will protect the paint. I liked the chamelion paint but at $2300.00 a quart I couldn't afford it this time. Lol
Yes it is a 75 duster
 
I'm really liking the new paint color , big improvement over the color flop paint it had. Looks like a 70s mopar again. Congrats.
 
Talked to the shop. Got the windshield and back glass in. Trying to get side windows in today. Need to finish buffing. I had him paint the good and hood scoop body color. Some thought black them out. I think green will look good.
Opinions:
The duster emblems on the fender I'm thinking paint inset in white to match stripes. Or else black. I think the white would look better. And I think I may put the duster with the tornado decal on back tail panel.
 
Looks great! Cant wait to see the finished product. Love the stance also. What is the setup on the rear? Springs, shocks, tires, front tire size also? Thanks

The rear in the one pic with old paint is 28-10.5 mt slicks with mt front drags also. Think they are 26"
I'll post u another on with the 295-50-15 rears with 205-60-15 fronts on my centerline convo pros which I'm putting back on when get car home.
Super stock springs in rear. Monroe shocks
Front has magnum force tubular adjustable upper control arms.

You can see the upper control arms in this one. I plan to save up and put the alterkation tubular k member and coil over shocks sometime. And really want to get a trans brake and overdrive trans. This car is a driver that runs 11.0 and was running outta fuel pressure. Have that fixed so plan on breaking into the 10's on pump gas.

wow great looking car you have there. I really like the color. I live down by Fort Leonard wood so i might just come up to watch you make some passes.is there a spical race that weekend or is it just test and tune??

We are havin. One of our club races that weeknd. Should have 12-17 of our cars up there racing. I think it's just a normal weekend there. I should have this car there. It's supposed to be done first of the week. And we will have my brothers purple demon there. Here's a pic of it.

Looks AWESOME, my Dart is getting so close to having nice paint on it that I can barely contain myself. Must be a nice feeling having your car done up so nice, congrats!
