Yep I disagreed with that as well. Roger Daltrey called Pete Townshend one of the best guitar players in the world in the book "Who I Am". In my mind his playing pales when compared to his creative composing ability-as the writer of most of the Who music. The synth rip on "Wont get fooled again" was not a loop. It was Pete playing every note where he wanted it in the song and dubbing it in where it needed to be.
