Only Mopar that races in the no box class at our track. Points were tight all year, but pulled away over the last two races. Out of the last four races, I went to 3 finals and won two of them.

First championship for me. Never had bracket raced until 5 years ago, and have been working hard at it every since.

This one is special because I did it with both of my cars. I quit taking the Dart when it got hot, because I was scared that it would start spinning. Had started seeing guys having some trouble with traction.

So I brought out my Volare wagon with 3.73 gears in the rear. That thing will get traction in sand. Won two races with the wagon while using it, and then we get milder temps the last two weeks. I brought the Dart back out for them, and won and runnered up.

Got a LOT more respect for anyone who has won a championship. That is not an easy feat, and its a grind week in and week out.

Picture of the Dart is from last year.

Congrats! Great looking Dart you have. (biased opinion of course) lol

Congrats!!!!
Enjoy the reward for hard work.

great job,my local track don't offer points,its just a outlaw trck,great job,like that dart,where can I get a decal that's like on your door

Congratulations!

They are hard to win & cherish it when you do.

Great to see a MoPar at the top!

Dig the wagon.

Thanks to everyone.

Outlaw, I had the Direct Connected decals on the dart made by a local guy that does signs, screen printing, and lettering.

I just took him what I wanted and he scanned it to his computer.

hot track car..... now there's an idea! Thought I had a pretty good plan with a back up motor program, but a back up car??? Winner! (not sure the wife will approve :) ) Congrats on the win!!

People dont realize just how hard it is to win @ Local Bracket Racing.

Smart Psychology to change cars to the Conditions. Our local track gets DEW on it about 10-11pm and traction goes away. Us faster FootBrakers lose traction and get the shaft, while the 14 sec Cruise Mobiles take the win. :finga:

I have raced many tracks across the US and the tuffest races I have always had, have been against the Local Boys. Unfortunately, Locally is all 1/8 mile down here in Florida. We sure do miss the 1320.

Now that you've conquered the Local Talent, it's time to spread your wings to your Divisional Races. Get your Car NHRA ready for Stock or Super Stock Classes and take on the Big Boyz. They also offer a 11 sec Class which is taking hold. Many of these Big Boyz have never become Local Track Champs, so you should do good. And one thing you'll discover...they're ALL beatable.

The wagon is actually not that much slower than the dart, but it has 3.73 gears and doesn't hit the tire as hard. We race only 1/8th mile as well. The dart can go 6.70's but I keep over 115 pounds of weight in the trunk for traction, and it goes low to mid 6.80's. The wagon has been 7.09 in the heat, but normally runs 7.12-7.15 right now. Have not ran it in the cooler weather yet.

I would love to try the Stock Eliminator stuff, but the budget would never allow me to be competitive. I would have to drive for someone else with competitive stuff to even have a chance. I have a friend that bracket races with me, and we pit together. He used to race in Stock Eliminator in H/CM. He won the divisional championship back in 2005, and set 14 national records. He stopped doing it in 2008 and only bracket races now. Way too much traveling involved to make it to all of the points races, and he just grew tired of it.
