EVERY thermostat I've installed over the last forty years opened "against the flow" never had a problem with them? All have been stock auto parts store thermostats. Care to expound on your theory?
Yes. Research has shown that high volume water pumps can actually increase pressure enough to push a t Stat closed. Plus the quality of Stant and others has diminished over the years. In my hot rod shop, we had countless failures of regular thermostats. Switching saved me a lot of time and money.
