6 hrs to do my RAM 4 door truck.and my arms are like limp noodles.i will never ever again use paste wax.i takes too much effort to get it off.

get yourself a cheap obital from Farm & Fleet. works great makes it a breeze to wax a car. ( still have to do tight areas by hand ). I also found if I clay bar the car first the wax is a little easier to deal with.

Back in the day, we had to paste wax everything. Both ways. In the snow. With no shoes.

If it was hard to take off it sounds like you either put to much on or let it sit to long. If you let it sit to long you can use some spray wax to get some moisture back into it and make it a little easier to take off.

I use a Teflon wax, the stuff is great. It is called T.F.P. I can wax my Dart in 20 minutes and nothing sticks to it. The demo the guy took spray paint and sprayed a section he had used this stuff and the spray paint wiped / rubbed off.

Shouldn't have taken you that long...maybe 2 hrs tops. I paste wax all my stuff, I do about one fender/door/panel at a time, so it's only sitting on there before being waxed off for about 5-10 min tops.

I have a truck that's 11 years old and the paint still looks brand new. Never been buffed, only clay bar'd. The stuff works.

you got to remember, thats a lot of truck.also has painted bumpers and mirrors.anyway,im going a different route next time.

Around my shop, we use Malco Cherry Flash Liquid Wax. Awesome stuff. Easy on, Easy off. Might need to use it every two months, but it's easy and works great. Remember the old Malco Gasser ??

And walking home from school................uphill both ways. lol

In response to the op's post. The spray waxes and glazes are so popular nowdays. They work well and have good protection. Most all cars we own are babied. The y need shine and protection from the elements is not a big issue. You'll be wiping wax out of the nooks and crannies for years to come. tmm

I'm a big fan of Mother's liquid wax. Goes on easy and off. Lasts awhile too.

I love Turtle Wax's "Ice"! Sprays on clear, rub it in and quick buff. Leaves a super slick shines finish and almost no elbow grease is needed.

Whens the last time you waxed it..if its been awhile thats the problem too,wax is tougher to get off if you haven't done it in long time..i wax my vehicles probably once a month and in between use Meguires/Mothers detailing spray weekly..best wax i've used Malco "blueberry" nano wax especially on dark cars/trucks awsume results...

Used to do complete details on full size conversion vans in six hours. That's a lot to wax and a lot of interior to clean and shampoo. Don't know why it took you six hours just to wax a full size truck.

Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. I don't think it has a lot to do with the paste wax, but how you're putting it on and more importantly, how you're taking it off.

Care to enlighten us as to your technique?
