I have a 1975 dart 360 and would like to use my neutral balance convertor with this ext balance 360. Friend of mine has a flexplate, I haven't seen it but he had it behind a ext bal 340 or 360 he is not sure, been several years. The number on it is 10234. I can't seem to locate this number unless it was superseded to a newer number, any help would be great in knowing if this can be used behind my 360, thanks...

Here it is at Summit Racing Looks like it is an external balance 340 flexplate for the 904 transmission. I can't speak to whether or not it will work in your application, but at least we found it.

B&M Flexplates 10239 is for a LA 360 with a 904

Thanks, I had looked up that number but came up with nothing that's why I figured it may have been changed. I don't believe it would work since it's listed for a 340 /904.

get a hold of these cats. http://www.areds.com/ i have known them since the late 60s. 90% of ALL trans shops get there parts from them. they can answer any Q

Thanks moe, will checked them out. Got a little more info from this friend of mine. He said the flexplate came out of his 68 dart that had a 360 transplanted into it. When he pulled the 360 out to do some restoration work ect. He is putting in a steel crank 340 and reusing his neutral balance conv and will not use this flexplate. The trans is a 904 as he states. He bought the car with the drivetrain installed so maybe the previous owner used this flexplate without knowing what it was for. I rode in this car and never noticed any type of vibration, but don't want to take the chance of using it if it's not for a 360. So my next question is what is the difference from a 904 to a 727 when it comes to flexplates ?
